External support for our company during a very important phase.

Far-reaching organizational restructuring, within the parameters set by the primary organization, doubtlessly constitutes a huge challenge for any company. An important step towards success is to achieve renewal from within the company itself. It is imperative to include the employees in this endeavor and to fill key positions from the company’s own ranks.

Our forward-looking Board of Directors called on external specialists in this situation to support our company during this change process. Dr. Gudrun Vater and Mr. Arnold Holter performed this function in a very professional manner.

The extended management team, accompanied and supported by Ms. Vater and Mr. Holter, gathered for a two-day retreat at a hotel in Baden in April 2008 in order to take crucial steps toward organizational renewal.

In addition to a detailed preliminary discussion, many brief coordination talks, along with occasional situation-induced discussions, took place with the facilitators in small groups to carry the process forward. These coordination talks allowed both Ms. Vater and Mr. Holter to fully facilitate the process, to keep the participants on the topic, and to skillfully meet the timetable as well.

Results were compiled in workshops, discussions, and adeptly organized presentations. Any lack of clarity was immediately scrutinized by Ms. Vater and a clear, mutual understanding was created.

At the end of these very intensive two days, the participants were asked to say a few closing words. It was very gratifying to hear how much approval was expressed regarding the changes that were developed. I personally felt that the external support was provided in a very professional, empathetic, and goal-oriented manner, which significantly contributed to the success of these two days toward the advancement of our company. It was important to me to express this appreciation before the entire team.
